The Solvay Student Consulting Club
About Us
The Solvay Student Consulting Club is a club run by students. The club consists of three divisions: the Training division, the Missions division and the Academy division. And what is this all about? Let’s start with the Training division. Every semester, the SCC offers workshops open to every member of the club, all the way from hands-on tools on how to improve your presentation skills, to broader topics such as sustainable economy and blockchain for example. These workshops are given by our partners, Deloitte, BrightWolves, Arthur D Little, Avertim, Accenture… Through the workshops, consultants get the opportunity to develop their skills, which is useful both for the missions as well as for the Academy. And what about the Missions division? Every semester 4-6 teams of student consultants work on missions for 8 weeks. During these weeks, they are coached by consulting firms in order to provide the best possible results for the clients. The clients can be anything from SME’s to larger corporations with missions in the fields of pricing, market research, profitability studies, data analytics, product positioning, strategy, cost-benefit analysis and sustainability. The Academy division, on the other hand, travels internationally to participate in business games. The members of the academy are trained in solving business cases as well as in presenting effectively with high eloquence and tiniest stress. Being part of the club is also a great opportunity to get to know like-minded people, working on cases and missions together. During the semesters, the SCC organizes team buildings for its members – both for the teams and for the whole club together. The team buildings are an opportunity to spend some nice time together, getting to know fellow consultants better. Are you a student in BA3 to MA2 or in advanced master, interested in solving cases and working with missions, while spending time with like-minded people? Take the opportunity and join the SCC. We organize recruiting events both at the ULB campus as well as the VUB campus in the beginning of every semester. Make sure to follow the SCC on social media to stay up to date!
